Five Things Friday – #20

Hey everyone! Happy Five Things Friday (is it Friday again already? Geez!) I've got some fun things to share from this week. I've been involved with helping promote our new release for BodyPump this week. I have to say I've been participating and I kind of love the intense synth sounds from the first half this release. It gets me SO pumped. A lot of the tracks seem super quick but are also crazy intense. Love love love. Onto #FTF

1. Walk Your Dog with Love Harness

I own an Alaskan Husky, aka the world's most energetic and talkative canine in the world (or so it seems). Willow needs a lot of walks, especially now that we have a wild toddler to takes up a lot of our attention when we are home. It's been difficult when we take her for walks though because she is a sled dog and constantly wants to tug at her leash. I did a lot of research online to see which leashes might be able to help with the pulling. The Walk Your Dog with Love Harness is pretty awesome, because it  (aff link) connects the leash at the front of the chest instead at the back. This leash location helps change the dog's need to pull to a mindset of being led. Willow has been adjusting very well to it, and I love that it helps me maintain control when we walk.

2. Winky Lux Flower Balm

My mother-in-law purchased this for me for my birthday. It's probably my new favorite lip balm because it changes color based on your lips' pH levels. I received the purple shade and I have to say the color is just perfect enough to wear without makeup so I don't look too washed out, or even with my regular makeup as pictured below. Thanks, Mom!

3. My ISSA (International Sports Science Association) Certifications

I'm legit!! After debating whether I should renew my certification from 2015 because "I don't look like a fitness trainer" I decided to woman up and just do it. Boy, am I glad I did. And I also got my Specialist in Group Fitness cert while I was at it because why not? Taking this step has given me the confidence to pursue a ton of other opportunities as a fitness instructor and nutritionist now. I wonder why I ever hesitated now. My message to you is DON'T WAIT FORT THINGS TO CHANGE. GO CHANGE THEM. RIGHT NOW. DO IT. I'm honestly excited to see what this coming year brings. 4. H-E-B Pickle Me Dilley Spicy Garlic Pickles

Don't get this juice in your eye like my husband did. Took a bite and BAM! It got him. They're pretty darn spicy, too! They taste the best when mixed with a tuna fish sandwich, haha. And the pickle juice is just as yummy, too.

5. Dancing with the Stars

This show... It gets me every time. I'm not big into reality TV or competition shows, but don't come between me and The Voice or DWTS. The cast this season is pretty fun and I found myself bawling at every story this week. Curse you, DWTS, for hitting me right in the feels... but I still love you.
